The dry season runs from December to the end of April with the wet season being May to the end of November. During the rainy season it is usually sunny until early afternoon, occasionally it rains all day.

Corcovado National Park

Monteverde

Monteverde is a small rural community in the highlands of the Tilarin mountain range. The private Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve contains six distinct ecological zones. The Arenal Volcano has been considered active for more than 40 years, erupting on average 41 times a day. Some days you may see spectacular displays of red hot lava, and others the volcano is more placid but will glow in the dark.

Tortoguero National Park

Tortoguero National Park is the perfect blend of ecotourism adventure and coastal paradise. the biodiversity of the park is remarkable, and while it is primarily famous for its nesting hawksbill, leatherback and green sea turtles – who lay their eggs on the protected shoreline from July to October – visitors also commonly see caiman, iguanas, capuchin, spider and howler monkeys, and hundreds of bird species such as macaws and toucans. You may even catch a glimpse of the elusive jaguars, ocelots and manatees.
