Expedition cruising
Citizen Science and Photography are included with all cruises. Optional activities such as kayaking and camping are also available at an additional charge.
There are as many reasons to sign up for an Antarctica voyage as there are people who do. But one thing people universally say when they return to port is that ours was one of the most fun trips they’ve ever been on. We’re proud of that. By day 3 the kayakers all know each other by name, the photography buffs are sharing astounding iceberg photographs with our photography coach and each other, dinners have become lively, celebratory affairs, and even our tight knit kitchen crew has a personality (and a song) all their own.
MS SEAVENTURE
Seaventure features a 1-A Super ice class rating — the highest ice class awarded to passenger vessels. This means that you will be able to explore coves, bays, and channels that would previously have been forbidden.
The ship also offers a host of new activities. There’s a sauna, a fitness centre, a custom-built citizen science lab, and heated saltwater pool. There is more storage space, which is important because it means they can carry more equipment, so that more of the guests can participate in activities like kayaking, snowshoeing, and camping.
The common areas are larger and beautifully appointed, and the ship has two kitchens, one on the Lido deck for al fresco dining when weather permits.
MS ISLAND SKY
With spacious, well-appointed suites, stylish common areas, an ice-strengthened hull, and redundant core technology, the Island Sky represents the height of comfort and style. In 2017, she was upgraded to add tinted sliding glass doors to all cabins on Promenade Deck 4.
Those who have travelled with us on Island Sky over the last four years know that she’s a fantastic platform for exploring Antarctica in comfort and style. It’s not just that she exudes old world charm, she is also one of the few ships in her class that boasts 3 decks of suites with sliding-glass doors, offering you immediate access to Antarctica from the privacy of your suite. As an added bonus, there's an upgraded beverage package on board and all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be included for the entirety of the voyage.

South Georgia is often referred to as the ‘Serengeti of the Southern Ocean’ and it’s easy to see why as you take in tens of millions of breeding penguins, seals, and seabirds. Magnificent mountain scenery, glaciers galore, icebergs, a rich historical tapestry, and an incredible array of wildlife will astound you as you travel down South Georgia's leeward coast.
There’s no “herding,” no early and late dinner shifts, no endless waiting for your turn to board a zodiac, and no missing out on excursion opportunities.
On a Polar Latitudes voyage, you’re all one team, and Antarctica is an intimate, personalised experience you share together.
Polar Latitudes is founder owned and operated. They do this because we couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
You may even see one of the owners on board, or driving you on your next zodiac adventure.
Through activities like the onboard auctions and sponsorship of the annual Falkstock music festival in Stanley, Polar Latitudes makes it a priority to support the organisations that support Antarctica. In 2018 alone, they raised over $60,000.
Explore Antarctic, the last great wilderness. We offer a wide variety of trips to Antarctica, including itineraries to the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands.
